Van Nelle Building

Van Nelle building

The coffee, tea and tobacco factory of the Van Nelle company was designed by Brinkman and Van der Vlugt. The building was finished in 1931. Located in the district of Overschie, this building is certainly worth a visit. It was a milestone in the development of modern architecture. The designers showed daring and vision in the use of glass and steel in the structure. They created a well-illuminated and well-ventilated building. The result is an ambience of spaciousness and purity, which was unique to industrial complexes.
