NAi

NAI, Rotterdam

The Netherlands Architecture Institute (NAi) is much more than a museum. This cultural institution, open to the public, concerns itself with architecture and urban planning. The NAi is housed in a striking building in the Museum Park in the center of Rotterdam.

History and current events

With more than 30 exhibitions per year in seven halls, the NAi presents an attractive overview of architecture, both at home and abroad. The NAi has one of the largest architectural collections in the world: 400 archives, 150 collections and 40,000 books and magazines. It does not only deal with architecture and urban planning, it also pays attention to landscape architecture and interior design.

Two centuries of dutch architecture

The permanent exhibition 'Two centuries of Dutch architecture' chronicles developments in the 19th and 20th centuries. The route description through Dutch architecture presents 19 styles. All major Dutch architects are featured.
