Island hopping (Wad hopping)
During summer it is possible to sail from island to island. This is what the Dutch call 'Wad hopping'. You can bring your bike on most ferries.

TEXEL-VLIELAND V.V.
The (sailing) season starts at the end of April and ends at the end of September. 'Rederij de Vriendschap' usually sailes once a day. If participation for extra departures is sufficient, extra departures might be available. The trip from Texel to Vlieland takes about thirty minutes. Once arrived at the top of Vlieland the Vliehorsexpres will take you to the 'Posthuys'. Please do check in case of bad weather circumstances whether the ferry is departing. De Vriendschap does not sail at force 7 or more.
VLIELAND-TERSCHELLING V.V.
With the fast ferry from 'Rederij Doeksen' crossing to Terschelling takes about half an hour. Please note: no cars are allowed at Vlieland. Taking a bicycle is allowed with limitation.
TERSCHELLING-AMELAND V.V.
It takes about three hours to sail from Terschelling to Ameland.
AMELAND - SCHIERMONNIKOOG V.V.
The motor ship 'Boschwad' takes you in about three hours to Schiermonnikoog.
