The Hague is part of the urban agglomeration in the western part of the Netherlands. This makes the city very well accessible by air, train and road. But also within the city it’s easy to get around with the excellent public transportation facilities.

  • Two major international airports close by
  • Less than 60 km from Amsterdam and 30 km from Rotterdam
  • Excellent public transport system

By air

The international airport Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Rotterdam The Hague Airport are just short distances away from The Hague and are both easily accessible by car and public transport. From Rotterdam The Hague Airport there is a shuttle service to The Hague.

By train

The Hague has two international and well-equipped train stations. Trains from The Hague Hollands Spoor Station leave for Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Belgium and France. Trains for Utrecht and Germany leave from The Hague Central Station. Both train stations operate a direct 30-minute service to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

By road

The Hague boasts an excellent public transport system. Over 30 bus and tramlines will quickly and safely take you to your destinations in The Hague and to the beaches of Scheveningen and Kijkduin. RandstadRail offers excellent light rail connections to Zoetermeer and Rotterdam. When you rather move by car it is possible to hail a taxi in the street or to find a taxi rank at the train station or throughout the city.
