A charming gem from the 1930s has been restored to bring a new international standard to Utrecht. Villa Jongerius is a historic building in the heart of the Jongerius complex, home to a successful manufacturer of buses and trucks for many years. After having fallen in decline, the villa is now a robust reminder of an opulent era. The former residence of the Jongerius family allows guests to experience the atmosphere of yesteryear in its beautifully restored rooms. Every room tells a story. The colourful and ornate Louis XIV-style was favoured by grandmother Heinnie, while the ambiance is business-like and inspiring in January, the room named after the builder of the house.
Each room is named after the former inhabitants, and the decoration tells the story of the family. This is an outstanding venue for meetings, dinners and receptions for groups from 5 to 150. The accessibility in central Utrecht is excellent and with the Jaarbeurs Centre as its neighbour, this is the perfect location for a spin-off or satellite meeting of a large event or exhibition.
The house may be over 80 years old, the facilities are all new. All conceivable technology is available, including Wi-Fi and a state-of-the-art climate-control system. The four meeting rooms can accommodate groups of up to 50. The total capacity of the villa is 160. Another special feature is the small chapel which is also available for meetings or breakout sessions.
