Aeolus

Near Harlingen in Friesland lies a huge glass pyramid. The ancient Egyptians would have just loved this modern version. The building is called Aeolus. Aeolus was the Greek god of wind. The building houses technical attractions for young and old.
Experimentarium
In the Experimentarium you can enjoy no less than 50 activities. Try them all! If you get tired you can take a rest in the top. From here you have great views of the Wadden Islands and the sheep on the sea-dike.
Other activities
In Aeolus you can forecast the weather. In the Observatory you discover the stars in the sky. You can see the position of the stars in, say, China. In the communication workshop you can call each other with a videophone. The official name for this system is Desk Top Video Conferencing. This state-of-the-art system is great fun. In the daily music workshop you can do a hearing test. With the help of the computer you can write and play your own songs.
Techno-Golf
Techno-Golf is a unique and exciting game. You have to hit a ball with a hammer. The ball finds its way via a technical obstacle. Try and get the ball in the hole in as few strokes as possible.
Play island
Especially for children aged five and up there is a play and discovery island. Here you can blow giant soap bubbles, climb a six-meter-high rock and play with building blocks and other construction materials. In the play garden you can get rid of some of your excess energy.
