Euromast

Architect Maaskant designed the Euromast in 1960 on the occasion of the Floriade. The tower was 'only' one 100 meters high at the time. Eight years later the medical faculty topped it by 14 meters. It was decided to increase the height of the Euromast by 85 meters by building the Space Tower. This was finished in 1970.
Space-adventure
The super-fast automatic lifts take you to the platforms. An experience in itself! In the Space Cabin you experience the sensation of a rocket start, slowly turning in orbit to a height of 185 metres. On a clear day you can see as far as Madurodam in The Hague or the cooling towers of Antwerp, Belgium.
Abseilen
Dangling from a rope with only a harness between you and a 100-meter fall. You can make this exhilarating trip under professional supervision until the middle of September. After this time abseilen will only be possible for groups of at least 20 people.
