Life I Live in The Hague

April 26, 2015

In most big cities in Holland King’s Day starts the night before, on April 26. While flea markets are usually not allowed to open before dawn the next day, many people are preparing their stalls (or sleeping in the street to safeguard their pitch) and the terraces are full of people. The Hague has the most famous and musical event of all with the Life I Live festival (or Koningsnach, King'sNight, as it used to be called).

Music festival

The Life I Live Festival in The Hague is, above all, a huge open-air music festival that was first organised in 1989. Countless bands perform on different stages in different squares. You can listen to anything from local The Hague bands to international acts.

Advance bookings

As well as booking live bands, the city also attracts a number of DJs. So it’s a big party every year, with people strolling from stage to stage and enjoying street food and drink. If you want to experience the Life I Live Festival and King’s Day in The Hague, make sure to book your hotel well in advance.
