Eating in Delft

Check out our selection of the most special culinary experiences in Delft:

Stads-Koffyhuis Kleyweg (Oude Delft 133): Kleyweg has been awarded the title ‘Best sandwiches in Holland’ since 1988 and won many awards for its imaginative creations. Visit Kleyweg for lunch and enjoy one of their excellent sandwiches.

Het Gulden ABC (Markt 34): The Dutch pancakes or ‘poffertjes’ served by this restaurant on Markt square became world-famous when the American President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary decided to have a plate of them during their visit in 1997. They still come recommended.

Visbanken (Camaretten 2): This place engaged in fish trade as early as the Middle Ages and is still the best location for a traditional Dutch herring or mackerel sandwich.

Stadsherberg de Mol (Molslaan 104): Prepare to travel back in time for the evening. You will be dressed in medieval apparel, after which a Burgundian meal will be served by not-so-romantic candlelight and boisterous fun. There is no cutlery here; you must use your fingers!

Van der Dussen (Bagijnhof 118): This is one of Delft’s culinary pearls hidden in a centuries-old building on the Bagijnhof. Just one look at the menu and extensive wine selection will make your mouth water.
