The Vredenburg music centre opened in Utrecht in 1979 and the Tivoli pop stage has also been around for over 30 years. In June 2014, however, both music centres will be merged in one single new building that is supposed to become the music centre of the 21st century. Every music lover will find something to his taste, whether it is music, a great night out or education.

Every music style under a single roof

In terms of facilities and diversity the new TivoliVredenburg location will be the biggest music stage in Holland. It expects to get about 525,000 visitors per year. With styles ranging from classical music to heavy metal and from intimate chamber music concerts to large-scale pop productions – everyone will find something to his or her liking at TivoliVredenburg.

Multifunctional

This also means that the various halls in the building will offer different atmospheres. There will be hip, sober spaces for dance and cross-over styles and more restrained spaces with seats for classical concerts. In addition the new centre will have space for bars, a grand café and a restaurant, providing an excellent venue for congress events. If all goes according to plans, TivoliVredenburg will open in the summer of 2014.
