Past the Hanseatic towns

There are seven Hanseatic League towns in Holland, which grew along the river IJssel during the 14th and 15th centuries. These Hanseatic towns have a rich and eventful history that still reveals itself today in their gorgeous houses and the many castles in the area. Discover the breath-taking surroundings of these settlements during your cycling holidays and visit Hattem, Hasselt, Kampen, Zwolle, Deventer, Zutphen and Doesburg. Some cycling holidays will not only take you to the Hanseatic towns, but also to other landscape highlights, such as De Veluwe national park and IJsselmeer lake.
