Royal Delft

Royal Delft is the last earthenware factory to remain from the Golden Age. Here the world renowned Delft Blue is still entirely hand painted according to the centuries-old tradition. At the Royal Delft Experience you will discover the complete history and production process of the Delft pottery. Experience the painter’s passion during a painting demonstration, admire the museum and wander through the factory where craftmen still produce the pottery today.

Keukenhof

The most beautiful spring garden in the world! Keukenhof is the place to enjoy millions of blooming tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, and other bulb flowers. Keukenhof is the best day out among the flowers and  guarantees the most beautiful photos. The Tulpomania exhibition tells the extraordinary story of the tulip during the Golden Age. At the start of the 17th century tulips were a very rare and exclusive status symbol in the Netherlands. In the Historical garden of Keukenhof you will find varieties of tulips that have been cultivated for four centuries. Here you can also admire the particular tulip species of the Golden Age.

The Mauritshuis

The Mauritshuis is home to the best of the Dutch paintings from the Golden Age. The compact,  but world famous collection is located in the heart of The Hague. Masterpieces such as Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp by Rembrandt, The Goldfinch by Fabritius, and The Bull by Potter are in the permanent collection of the intimate museum, which is located in a 17th century  monument. Over two hundred masterpieces by Dutch and Flemish masters hang in the classic interior of the museum that has the atmosphere of a private residence with silk wall coverings, sparkling chandeliers, and monumental ceiling paintings.
