A weekend of sailing on the IJsselmeer is a precious experience. You will enjoy the untouched nature and the authentic atmosphere of these Dutch waters. With the sun on your face you can obtain a taste of the old times while in direct contact with the elements.
WEEKEND SAILING IJSSELMEER AND/OR WADDENZEE
In the evening you embark on your ship in the harbour of Enkhuizen. The next morning the ship sets sails to one of the many old harbouring towns situated on the IJsselmeer. At the end of the afternoon you will disembark in one of these pleasant towns. This could be Muiden or Volendam, but it also could be Stavoren or Lelystad. After a tiring sailing trip, you have enough time to look around the place at your leisure, and you spend the night on board. On Sunday you will set course once more for Enkhuizen, where you disembark at the end of the afternoon.
MID-WEEK SAILING IJSSELMEER AND WADDENZEE
During these 5-day sailing trips you will embark in the afternoon in the harbour of Enkhuizen on Monday. You cast off and sail in the direction of old fishing villages like Marken and Monnickendam, Muiden or perhaps the Frisian town Workum. You could also sail to the smallest and oldest town in the province of West-Friesland, Medemblik. Here you can visit Radboud Castle or the Bakery Museum. The next morning, after a convivial final evening on board or in one of the cosy little pubs, you hoist the sails for the last time. You enjoy the clean breeze for a little while longer, and before you know it you are mooring the ship once more in the harbour of Enkhuizen, and it is time to disembark.

Details:
Parties of minimum 10 persons can book their 'own' ship. The route taken depends in part on the weather and wind. The ship is a traditional sailing-ship, for example a clipper or a tjalk, fully renovated and modernised with a spacious, comfortable dayroom.
The price includes the service provided by the crew (2 persons). The board-costs are for meals (full-board, excluding drinks), port-dues and fuel costs and is paid by you to the captain. There will be a cook's mate on board to prepare the meals. Lending a hand with the sailing and other small activities is a pleasant part of an active holiday, and is more or less expected of everyone. The group on board consists of like-minded people of many different nationalities. No sailing experience required.
