Dutch Masters
From July 2010 to mid 2011, ‘Dutch Masters’ are in the spotlights, whether they are famous painters, such as Rembrandt, Van Gogh and Vermeer, or more contemporary artists. Organizations that offer a significant impulse to today’s Dutch Masters or are active from Holland in the rest of the world take part.
Special presentations
Seven museums in three cities put together special presentations featuring ‘Dutch Masters’. The Royal Picture Gallery Mauritshuis in The Hague will show Old Masters from a private American collection, for example. The Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam has a major retrospective on Marlene Dumas. The Centraal Museum Utrecht presents works by the 17th- century painter Abraham Bloemaert.
