Dick Bruna


Dick Bruna, born 23 August 1927 in Utrecht, is a writer, artist and graphic designer. His best known creation is without a doubt “Miffy”, a little rabbit drawn in as few lines and colours possible.
World-famous
Created in 1955, the little rabbit has since become famous all over the world. Besides his other children’s books series, Bruna has also illustrated and designed covers of such books as the Saint, James Bond and his famous covers of Simenon’s Maigret. The Bruna House, a part of the Central Museum in Utrecht, was opened February 2006 and displays an overview of his graphic work.
