Photonic Photomarketing

An image is so much more powerful than text. Or, as the saying goes: a photo says more than a thousand words. So why not make use of that more often? As Photonic has been doing since 2000. The Dutch company makes professional live photo reportages that are available online shortly afterwards. The founders style themselves the pioneers of digital events photography and photo marketing.
Photo reportages are made for various reasons. The photos can be an objective in themselves. A reportage is both a great extra for attendees and a good way for companies to present themselves. Last summer Photonic went to Beijing where it photographed the Olympics for a Dutch client. Photonic also made a photo reportage of the Holland Heineken House, the favourite Dutch party location during the Games.
Photos can be given individual branding, a convenient way of drawing attention to the company name. The photo reportage can also be incorporated into a larger plan. A meeting that is professionally recorded has a longer lifespan thanks to the photography. It is precisely the photo site that is a lasting success, says Photonic. Photos placed on the web shortly after a meeting – Photonic uploads them within 24 hours – attract a lot of attention. Apparently 60 to 80 per cent of those photographed visit the website after an event. What’s more, there is space on the site for follow-up actions and interaction.
Photonic also offers a range of extra services during the meeting. Like FotoDisplay, where the photographer not only takes the photos but also displays them on the spot on a large screen.
