Shopping

De Sting Hulshoff

There is no town, where you can find more (variety on) shops as in The Hague. Since The Hague became the cosmopolitan centre for diplomats and foreign visitors, this city has practically everything to offer in local and international goods. So, besides the usual daily shopping, you'll find quality, exquisite and avant-garde goods. The Hague fits anyone's budget. Those who love antiques, for example, can rely on the "arts and antiques walk" of The Hague's Visitors & Convention Bureau. It takes you along the most important streets in the old centre of the city, where you find the shops with antiques and curious goods. Besides this, the old city also is a good location to pick up original Dutch souvenirs. In the summer season you find on the Lange Voorhout in the towncentre the "antique market".

Haagse Bluf
Haagsche Bluf is a new shopping centre located in the centre of The Hague. To more precise, the area is demarcated by Dagelijkse Groenmarkt, Vlamingstraat, Venestraat and Nieuwstraat. The shopping area consists of beautiful buildings with historic-looking facades. Truth be told, these storefronts are brand-new copies of front exteriors found in the historic parts of The Hague and Delft.
The shopping area offers the very best in the area of fashion. Needless to say, you can also have a drink or a bite to eat in one of the many restaurants and pubs located there. Among these establishments is the Haagse Lounge at the Dagelijkse Groenmarkt.

The centre
In the city centre you will find department stores such as the internationally well-known C & A, Vroom & Dreesmann (V & D), Marks & Spencers, the Bijenkorf or the Harrod's-like Bonneterie with finer and exclusive goods. You'll notice there are a lot of promenades and shopping-passages, like The Passage.

Scheveningen & Kijkduin
Moreover, Scheveningen and Kijkduin, the two seaside resorts of The Hague, have many fine shops along the promenades. In Scheveningen you will find the all-season shopping complex Palace Promenade. At the seaside all shops are open 7 days a week and in summer until late at night.

Opening hours
In Den Haag city centre most shops are open Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 till 18:00 and Saturdays from 9:00 till 17:00. On Mondays most shops open at 13:00 (department stores at 11:00) till 18:00.
