Wadden Islands

The Wadden Islands attract people throughout the year because of the unspoiled nature reserves, wildlife, beautiful beaches and charming villages. In spring and autumn they are the perfect place for a refreshing break, while in summer you are assured of a delightful beach holiday.

Texel

The island of Texel is the largest Wadden Island of the Dutch mainland. Although Texel also offers plenty of quiet spots, there are more recreational facilities here. In June, Texel is host to the world's largest catamaran race.

Vlieland

When you visit Vlieland, you become a real islander. The island is famous for its convivial Vlielandia fairs held in July and August.

Terschelling

Polders, dune areas, tidal marshes and the long stretch of beaches contribute to a wonderful stay on Terschelling. In June, the island accommodates the 'Oerol', a large music and theater festival.

Ameland

Ameland has a rich bird and wildlife. Visitors will find a host of hotels, bed and breakfast inns and campsites on this island where there are four villages only.

Schiermonnikoog

If you're looking for tranquillity, a visit to Schiermonnikoog is a must. On this island, only the island's residents are allowed the use of a car. During the summer there is plenty of entertainment.
