International Documentary Film festival Amsterdam (IDFA)

The International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam was founded in 1988 with the objective to promote documentaries, both at home and abroad. IDFA has since developed into one of the main documentary film festivals in the world. This festival is unique, because of its international program, the diversity in genres, the politically engaged program and the many European and world premieres every year.

IDFA Award for Best Dutch Documentary

A first this year is the presentation of the ‘IDFA Award for Best Dutch Documentary’, awarded by an international panel of judges. The award is a tool for IDFA to promote Dutch documentaries to international audiences.
