Bars and restaurants with a view of Amsterdam

The following bars and restaurants offer great views of Amsterdam! De Pont (Buiksloterweg 3) is easy to get to on the free ferry located behind Central Station. Order a drink and a sandwich and enjoy the view from the outdoor patio as boats navigate the waters of the IJ. The outdoor patio at De Kompaszaal (KNSM-Laan 311) offers a similar view, but the location has a historic accent. De Kompaszaal is located in the former arrival terminal of the Koninklijke Nederlandsche Stoomboot Maatschappij (Royal Netherlands Steamship Company).  Hannekes Boom is known for its very relaxed atmosphere (Dijksgracht 4). Enjoy great food and drinks here, and in the evenings, you can dance while watching the sun go down over Amsterdam. Café de Jaren (Nieuwe Doelenstraat 20) is famous for having one of the best patios in the city. Starting at around one in the afternoon, you can bask in the sun and enjoy watching the people of Amsterdam as they pass by. Finally, you can eat dinner at the Blue restaurant in the Kalvertoren shopping mall (Singel 457) while enjoying a 360 degree view of Amsterdam.
