On October 26th, the Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions in conjunction with the Consulate General of the Netherlands in New York hosted an exciting press preview of Dutch art and cultural events taking place in 2012 both in Holland and in the United States to local and national media in NYC.

The Green Fashion Competition: Sewing the seeds for the future of fashion

Amsterdam International Fashion Week (AIFW) is organizing its second season of The Green Fashion Competition (TGFC) in cooperation with the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation (EL&I). The Green Fashion Competition is a contest which encourages participants to create 'green' and ‘catwalk-worthy’ fashion. Participants will design three outfits and write a business plan wherein they explain how their ideas contribute to sustaining biodiversity. Registration for The Green Fashion Competition opens on July 16th 2011. The Grand Finale will take place during the 16th edition of Amsterdam International Fashion Week in January 2012.
