New Focus for Holland Marketing

Effective 2012, the Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions (NBTC) has an amended its Holland marketing strategy. This new focus is primarily prompted by the cutbacks in grants-in-aid that NBTC receives from the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation. The grants-in-aid for Holland promotion will be gradually reduced to 50% in the coming years. As of 2015, EUR 8.3 million will be available annually for the promotion of Holland as a leisure and business destination. This has a big impact on the marketing activities and the organisation.
