Public transport in The Hague
If you want to explore The Hague, the public transport system is a perfect way to get around. Better still, it is the best way to travel from one attraction to the next. Many public transit systems operate services several times per hour so you never have to wait for long.
To the beach?
The tram is the most intensively used public transport system in The Hague although there are many bus services as well. If you want to spend some time at the beach in Scheveningen, you will find there is excellent service from early in the morning until late at night.
You can pay for your ride with an OV-chipcard. For tourists, we recommend buying an ‘anonymous’ OV chip card. These cost €7.50 and are available at railway and bus stations, kiosks and many supermarkets. You can use them directly.
