Brouwerij 't IJ tour

Brouwerij 't IJ is a fairly young company but it is definitely a phenomenon in Amsterdam. A fairly popular singer established the brewery in a squatted building in Amsterdam in 1983. Two years later, the brewery relocated to an unused bath house called ‘Funen’. Today, its great beers are still brewed here. We definitely recommend taking a tour of Brouwerij 't IJ.

Ecological craftsmanship

Brouwerij 't IJ brews about 300,000 litres of beer annually according to the best traditions of the craft and on an ecological basis. Its most popular beers, Natte, Zatte, Columbus and Struis, are not just enjoyed on site in the tasting room but are also available from a range of pubs and liquor stores.

Beer bottle collection

The brewery is open for tours on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.  A ticket costs €4.50 and the price includes a nice beer after the tour. Tickets are sold from 14:00 on opening days. Please note that the tours start at 15:30 and 16:00. The maximum group size is 25 persons.  Don’t forget to check out one of Europe’s biggest beer bottle collections in the tasting room.
