Kurhaus

The Kurhaus is without a doubt the most beautiful building in Scheveningen. This five star hotel has been situated right on the beach since 1885. It seems as if the whole of Scheveningen was built around the Kurhaus hotel.

Historic Ambiance

In 1818, a bathhouse was opened for the upper-classes, who were just discovering going to the beach as a way of relaxation. It became such a success that in the following years the bathhouse expanded more and more, until in 1884 plans were made for a grand hotel. A year, later the Kurhaus had arisen. Today, the historic ambiance is still notable as you walk through the hotel.
