The former canteen of the Van Nelle factory in Rotterdam, where coffee, tea and tobacco were once processed, is an epicenter of creativity and innovation through education. The location, in the historic grounds of the Van Nelle Factory, and the modern design make for a unique setting for any event.
Four inspiring spaces and a fantastic setting that encourages creativity; they each have their own characteristics and facilities and can also be combined into a large hall for conferences, presentations and shows. The E Factory covers an area of 1,200m2 and the rooms all have modern audiovisual equipment and display capabilities. The venue is a wonderful example of an ultra-modern location in a historic setting.
Experience, Events and Education
The buildings of the former coffee, tea and tobacco processing plants are not only a gem to see, they still buzz with activity and creativity. Over 100 innovative companies have moved into the various buildings on the site in recent years. The main building has several conference rooms, and Building 11 - the former company canteen - houses the E Factory. It is a striking, elongated building in which Experience, Events and Education go hand in hand. Sharing knowledge in a relaxed and inspiring environment is key to the E Factory.
A big advantage of the E Factory is that even though the rooms were completely furbished rooms, they are so neutral that they are custom to set the specific character and goals of each event. Originality, tailoring and craftsmanship are paramount. The E Factory consists of four areas of different sizes, making the location suitable for both large and small events and gatherings. Whether it is a meeting, workshop or reception from 20 people to a conference or event up to 375 people.
