BAUT, which names derives from Wibautstraat, the street in which it is located, is a so-called pop-up bar and restaurant. Open every day for breakfast, lunch, drinks and dinner, it boasts art, design, music, and more. The temporary nature combines well with the top quality food and drink. Chef Michael van der Eerde achieved his dream with BAUT, after spending years in Michelin-star restaurants and being involved in catering concepts, such as Envy, Nomads and Supper Club.
BAUT is a wonderful example of innovative 'recycling' of former office buildings. Once the editorial home to one of Holland's major newspapers, it is now a multifunctional building for meals and meetings.
BovenBAUT (AboveBAUT) is a multifunctional space for a range of events, ranging from meetings and workshops to private dining and receptions for up to 150. It is situated above the restaurant. This spring, the rooftop will be transformed into an urban garden, a relaxing green spot in the middle of Amsterdam. Highly recommended if you are looking for an out-of-the-ordinary meeting experience!
