The Canal Hotel
April 30, 2013
The Canal Hotel opened only a month ago, and it is the talk of the town. This hotel redefines the urban hotel for those who want a great stay in exciting Amsterdam.
The hotel is all about experience, rather than hospitality clichés. Our guests are curious about the historic buildings in which they stay, and are guided to someplace warm, lively and authentic.
Relax and feel at home in the lounge bar that is quickly becoming the new hotspot in a city in which hotel bars are generally very popular. Enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine next to the fireplace. Enjoy the beautiful canal view through the large windows or from the outdoor area. Located in the ´Pijp´ area, the Albert Cuyp market and the Heineken Brewery are within walking distance. The Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum and Van Gogh Museum are just a block away.
The rooms are a real treat. The beds are extremely comfortable, top-end Hästens. The 'Gardens of Amsterdam' wallpaper, designed by Annet van Egmond, restores the original 1892 ambiance.
