Accessibility of Amsterdam

The airport is just a stone throw away, there are over 550,000 bikes in the city and the city centre can be easily explored on foot. Let’s have a closer look at the brilliant accessibility of Amsterdam.

  • The airport is only a 20-minute train ride away.
  • Many domestic and international destinations are close by with the train
  • Public transport, taxi’s and your feet take you anywhere you want to go

By air

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is Holland’s main airport. This modern, efficient and user-friendly airport has flights to and from over 250 destinations worldwide. With KLM and its large network the Netherlands has a great deal to offer (international) conference visitors.

By train

The Dutch have a very efficient railway system which makes it easy to travel from anywhere in the country to Amsterdam. High-speed trains such as the Thalys and Intercity Direct stop at Amsterdam Central Station, as do many Dutch domestic intercity trains. Within a few hours you can be at Paris, Gare du Nord.

By road or water

The city centre is easily explored by foot. It makes the experience even better! But when you want to get somewhere fast you can take one of the many taxi’s or go by public transport. Your destination in Amsterdam is never far away.
