Premium eight-day tulip tour
A round trip departing from Amsterdam, this tour takes in Holland’s legendary flower fields while the tulips are in bloom, plus the spectacular sights of the hundreds of thousands of spring flowers on display at the famous Keukenhof Gardens. Guests will also visit the historic cities of Haarlem and Leiden, where they can take in the sights and sounds at their leisure. There are further stops in the cheese capitals Gouda and Alkmaar. One night is also spent at Zaanse Schans, an open-air museum that offers a picture-perfect view of traditional Holland, with historic windmills, farms and quaint wooden houses. Passenger groups are limited to just 20 guests. A five-day premium tulip tour is also available.
Premium Amsterdam to Bruges (or vice versa)
The world-famous cities of Antwerp, Bruges, Ghent and Amsterdam are all included in this trip, which lasts for eight days and lets visitors feel like they have fallen out of time and travelled to a bygone era, experiencing the glorious past of the rich merchant cities of Flanders. Along the way, guests will cycle through the beautiful – and flat – Dutch countryside of Zeeland and the western Flanders region of Belgium; attractions include a visit to a real Dutch cheese farm, the 19 famous Dutch windmills of Kinderdijk, a romantic canal trip in Ghent and countless charming villages. Barges will host a maximum of 40 guests.
Best of Holland
If traditional Holland is what you’re after, then this is the tour for you. Cycle through the country’s ‘green heart’, visit the open-air museum of Zaanse Schans with its windmills and picturesque wooden houses, take a bike tour to the famous harbour of Volendam and see Marken, a beautiful old fishing town that used to be an island and is still a popular destination for locals and visitors alike. Kinderdijk, which offers the spectacular sight of 19 original windmills, and the Dutch cheese capital Gouda are also on the itinerary. As a stark contrast, return to modernity on a visit to IJburg, Amsterdam’s newest neighbourhood, which was reclaimed from the sea at the turn of this century and is a haven for contemporary architecture. Barges on this tour have a maximum of 40 passengers.
