Emigrants hotel

Built in the early twenties, this monument was originally destined to be an emigrants hotel and was built right before the Amsterdamse School reached its peak. The Amsterdamse School is a famous architectural style of decorative brickwork. This movement began in 1910, and was part of the international Expressionist architecture.

Nowadays, the hotel consist of 117 beautifully designed rooms. All rooms offer a unique character, in which the architectural Dutch design and art-deco and renaissance elements have been blend together into an amazing eclectic style.

Unique rooms

The quirky and inspiring rooms, with a luxury rating from one to five stars, all differ in size and interior. The difference in price is linked to the difference in surface area. Renowned Dutch architects, designers and artists, such as MVRDV Architects, Hella Jongerius and Marcel Wanders, have joined forces to create spaces that allow the rooms to be used in unconventional ways. This remarkable hotel is an experience in itself. This is where history, travel, design and architecture meet.
