The Amsterdamse Bos
Activities in the Forest of Amsterdam
Nature lovers will be pleased with the 150 indigenous species of trees and over 200 species of birds of the forest of Amsterdam. The Amsterdamse Bos is ideal for running and cycling. The ‘Bosbaan’, a rowing course which hosted several world championships, attracts rowers, canoeists and fishermen. The forest also includes a hockey-, tennis-, cricket- and football club, a pool a riding school and Spa Zuiver.
The Amsterdamse Bos for children
The Amsterdamse Bos (Amsterdam forest) offers a variety of activities for children. Kids can climb to their heart’s content in the Klimpark Fun Forest, run around in the many playing fields and play islands, take a dip in the paddling pools, or pet goats and feed lambs at the Ridammerhoeve petting zoo. And when the kids have worked up a healthy appetite, there’s the Boerderij Meerzicht, the pancake restaurant in the Amsterdamse Bos.
