In an old tunnel beneath Mr. Visserplein, a busy traffic square in the center of Amsterdam, children get to play and stay dry. The soccer cage and climbing cages allows children to ‘play inside outside’. On Saturday, Sunday and nearly all holidays, TunFun organizes the Panna Knock Out tournament.
For children big and small
The climbing cages are split up into three classes of increasing difficulty: mini, midi and maxi. It allows the smallest toddlers to play safely while older children won’t get bored. Even babies a few months old can crawl on the soft mats or enjoy the mini slide in the safe arms of their mum or dad.
Other fun activities with children
If you prefer an educational outing with your children, NEMO comes highly recommended. Curious children learn all about science and technology in a playful way. Perhaps you’d like to get away from the urban crowds? Artis Zoo is a green oasis in the center of Amsterdam, a great outing for young and old.
TunFun is easily accessible for wheelchairs and strollers.
The Radisson Blu Hotel is located in the heart of Amsterdam and offers great family suites. Children up to 2 years get to stay for free if you use the baby bed.
Tip from the editors
Want to see more of the city? There is no better way to explore Amsterdam than by renting a bicycle. If your children are too small to ride their own bike, you can rent a carrier cycle or ‘bakfiets’ and drive your children around in the bin just like the locals.
