2. Vismarkt and Herestraat
Close by Grote Markt, in the centre of Groningen, lies Vismarkt and Herestraat. These shopping streets are home to various large chain stores and exclusive boutiques.
3. Folkingestraat
As with most places in Groningen, Folkingestraat lies within walking distance of Grote Markt square, and is home to many lifestyle shops, boutiques and galleries, as well as multiple little eateries that serve a great lunch. 4. Kromme Elleboog
Kromme Elleboog (Bent Elbow) consists of two small streets, Kleine Elleboog and Grote Elleboog, and offers a range of enjoyable, somewhat more exclusive shops and restaurants. 5. Oude Kijk in 't Jatstraat
A stone’s throw from the University of Groningen lies this atmospheric, historic little street. It’s the ideal place to hunt for vintage items, old curiosities and beautiful books, or to browse unique boutiques.
