Many beach clubs are assembled in the pre-season and taken down after the summer. It is not on every beach that beach clubs are allowed to remain in place throughout the year. However, there is an increasing number of places you can go to year-round for a drink, a bite, and a fantastic view of the sea. These are our best tips!
1. Tijn Akersloot, Zandvoort aan Zee
It is just a short trip from Amsterdam and Haarlem to the Dutch coast and the attractive seaside towns of Bloemendaal and Zandvoort. It is open until midnight every day and serves delicious snacks and salads, as well as wood oven pizzas. When the weather is fair, the front facade is opened up all the way and meat and fish dishes are prepared on the barbecue, too.
2. San Blas, Bloemendaal aan Zee
You’d almost believe you were on a different continent at beach club San Blas on the beach of Bloemendaal, the interior of which was inspired by the San Blas islands near Panama.
