Go for a ride in a tram that looks like it drove through a bowl of erwtensoep (Dutch pea soup). The Snerttram takes you past the greatest highlights of Rotterdam while you enjoy a bowl of good snert (another word for Dutch pea soup). You will discover the most beautiful high-tech architecturede Kuip, football club Feyenoord’s home stadium, and ride past the chic Kralingen area and historic Delfshaven.

Eat & learn

The tram’s interior reproduces a cosy Dutch interior with cheery lights, plants, little curtains and an accordion player who provides musical entertainment. The team serves a bowl of excellent erwtensoep and you can order a drink. You will be very cosy while the tour guide tells you about some local trivia even real Rotterdam natives would be surprised to hear.

Late lunch

The Snerttram is a real winter attraction, of course, and tours the city during weekends from October to March.  On Saturday it departs at 16:30 (with an extra ride at 14:30 if there are many interested people) and on Sunday at 14:30 (with an extra ride at 16:30 if there are many interested people). A tour takes about 90 minutes and costs 16,50 euros. There is also a special dinner package for €49.50. There are no assigned seats so feel free to sit wherever you like. The starting and end point is Oostplein, Rotterdam.
