The muZEEum is the maritime museum of Zeeland, which is housed in a complex with historical buildings from the 16th, 17th, 18th and 21st century. Within the muZEEum, the latest multimedia is used to give a lively presentation of Zeeland’s glorious maritime past.

Zeeland’s Maritime Past

The collection about Zeeland is divided into four sections: water, work, glory and adventure. All together you will learn what the greatest threats and chances of water were to Zeeland. From the story of the famous admiral De Ruyter to ship building, floods, sea wars and fishing.

Children’s Activities

There are several activities for the younger visitors of the muZEEum, such as games and a children’s quest. The muZEEum has also won several awards for the way it combines historical artifacts with interactive presentations.
