Café 't Hartje

This has been a welcoming old-fashioned pub for years now, where you can have a cup of coffee in the morning and a stiff drink at night. They also have a large terrace on Waagplein square in summer.

Café Berrie's

A cosy cafe on Waagplein square with live music on a regular basis and a salsa dance night on the first floor every Friday.

Café 't Kooltuintje

A welcoming musical cafe featuring a ‘metal night’ every last Friday of the month. Most importantly, it has a lovely terrace near the water.

Café Stapper

A bustling cafe near the Platte Stenenbrug bridge where they love music. There is a 'Stapper jam' with a good band followed by an ‘open mike’ every last Thursday of the month.

De koning

An old-fashioned pub where you can enjoy a great pancake or simple lunch every afternoon. A great meeting place at night and a party with excellent DJs every weekend.

A stylish, modern cafe with great wines and a menu with attractive small snacks.

Ons café 't Kantoor

A cosy and popular cafe in a beautiful old building near the Visbanken and Platte Stennenbrug bridge.

Proeflokaal de Boom

A traditional cafe for those who love life beneath the Beer Museum in Alkmaar. They serve many specialty beers and have a barge for a terrace in summer.

Mojo's

This great cafe/restaurant occupies a stately building on Waagplein square. There is ample of space on several floors. In addition to a good menu this place has a welcoming bar where you can have a drink.
