But what they often don’t know is that this is one of the most beautiful rides in the world! What can you see en route?

Tram line 2 passes Amsterdam’s countless great attractions and that also makes this tram ride so amazing!

During your tram ride you’ll see the beautiful Museumplein with the Stedelijk Museum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum. Next, you’ll head towards the Leidseplein with all the cosy hotels and restaurants, theatres and cinemas and then ride on to the Paleis op de Dam (Royal Palace).

The route from the Leidseplein to the Dam goes right through the centre of Amsterdam. It takes you through the narrow Leidsestraat, past the famous flower market, over the Spui and by numerous monumental buildings. And along the way, of course, you’ll cross over all the canals that together make up the unique canal belt. The end point, finally, is Amsterdam’s main railway station (Centraal Station).
