The Amsterdam Music Theatre

City Hall and Opera House

In the eighties a building was constructed in the centre of Amsterdam. It would be the new home of both the city hall of Amsterdam and an opera house. The Amsterdam Music Theatre is therefore also known as the ‘Stopera’, which is combination of the Dutch word for city hall and opera.
