Sleep in your very own tiny house with box bed. The Baartje Sanders Erf was built in 1687 and through the years served as a workshop, warehouse, library, and antiques shop. It overlooks a quiet courtyard right behind one of the best shopping streets in Gouda. You can soak up the sun in the garden if the weather permits, but Rover, the owner’s dog, may drop by to say hello.
Het Suikerpandje
Hidden in a picturesque alley in the center of Gouda is het Suikerpandje. It used to be a sugar warehouse but today it accommodates a warm and comfortable bed & breakfast. Het Suikerpandje overlooks one of the most beautiful canals in Gouda and the city’s highlights, such as Markt square with city hall, Sint-Jan cathedral and the shopping area, are just a short walk away.

Woerden is very close to Gouda and, like Gouda, is known for its cheese market. Our recommendation for Woerden is the Stadshotel Van Rossum, a lovely boutique hotel. The staff are all about hospitality and the rooms are super Instagrammable. Plus, they serve excellent, honest meals since the hotel runs its own farm that grows regional produce.
