Kamphuisen eet- en drinklokaal

Simply great food, that is what Kamphuisen serves. This eatery has the typical pleasant ambiance of an old-fashioned Dutch pub. Find a place by the canal, weather permitting, at the old fish tables where the fish auction once was held. This was the place to buy fish until the 19th century. Today it is the perfect spot for pre-dinner drinks.

Brunel

Just like the neighbors of Kamphuisen, Brunel serves dinner beneath the beautiful old fish auction tables in summer. They serve great food at fair prices. Our tip: In fall, Brunel offers a super delicious venison menu.

Restaurant Unique does not offer an à la carte menu. Instead, the chefs take you along on a culinary trip using a variety of seasonal regional products. If desired, an accompanying wine is served with every course. We highly recommend it!

Jean Marie is one of the absolute best restaurants in Gouda. The service is perfect and the food more than delicious. All the ingredients are locally sourced from the Krimpenerwaard. It is with reason that Jean Marie was awarded a Bib Gourmand.

If you think of Gouda, cheese is the first thing that comes to mind. And Koeien en Kaas are the experts. The cheese fondue is amazing and the beef steaks from the Groene Hart are unmissable. If you have any space left for dessert, you should really try the Goudse stroopwafel trifle.

Sustainable food is served with a view on the water at de Kleischuur. Since the chef only uses seasonal products, the menu changes on a regular basis. Whatever the season, the food is always delicious. You can sit in the sun on the terrace and watch the boats sail by.

Casa Chow specializes in a mix of Asian and Latin-American street food. While it may sound a little weird, it is incredibly tasty. They also serve perfect accompanying cocktails, too. The editor’s favorites: churros with white chocolate sauce and bao bun with pork belly. Yum!

De Lichtfabriek

If you are longing for a stylish dinner in industrial surroundings, de Lichtfabriek is the place to go. The extraordinary location in an old factory makes it a must-see; fortunately, the food is excellent, as well. The menu varies with surprising seasonal dishes and well-known classics. In winter, de Lichtfabriek is transformed into de Fondue Fabriek, serving delicious cheese fondue.
