Beautiful history

The Martinitoren (Martini Tower) is the pride of Groningen. It’s an almost hundred-meter-high and 500-years-old tower in the city of Groningen. The city is build around the tower. What used to be a landmark and a vantage point from to keep an eye on enemies is now a tourist attraction.

The Bells and Martini Church

Walking through Groningen, you can’t miss the ringing bells off the Martinitoren. The bells are known as one of the best of Europe and give the city of Groningen an extra, positive vibe. The tower is connected to the Martini Church, which dates back to the 13th century. The organ and wall paintings are well worth a visit.
