Brouwerij Bosch in Maastricht
History of Brouwerij Bosch
While the brewery was always run by the Bosch family, its initial name was Keyser. That was the original name of the building N.A. Bosch inherited from his father in law in 1827. The next generation of the family continued the brewing operations under the name ‘Firma N.A. Bosch’. Beer was brewed here the old-fashioned way until 1970. The interior dates from the period 1900-1920. Some of the equipment is even older, such as the mash tun dating from 1880.
Tour
You can visit the brewery on Saturdays. From the VVV tourist office on Kleine Staat 1, a guide will take you on a short walk to the brewery. Inside you will see the equipment and learn more about the process of brewing beer. And of course you will get to try two wonderful beers in the reception room. The tour takes about 2 hours. Tickets are available from VVV Maastricht or via the brewery website.
