The garden of Rotterdam

Test your knowledge of plants at the Trompenburg gardens. There is a sign with a description available for every plant, shrub and tree. Plant lovers from around the world have been there before you, but the park is also popular with locals. Trompenburg is a haven of peace amid the hustle and bustle of metropolitan Rotterdam. With or without a guide, you are free to stroll past the pear court, goldfish pond, oak tree court and around a dozen other gardens. It is worth visiting the Trompenburg gardens several times per year because the park changes with the seasons.

Accessibility

Trompenburg Tuinen & Arboretum covers seven hectares of natural beauty. The gardens are closed from mid-December to mid-January. Enjoy the beautiful greenery in the city for a relatively small fee throughout the rest of the year. The park is accessible to wheelchairs and mobility scooters. You can reach Trompenburg by taking tram 21 (destination De Esch) or park your car in front of the entrance (free parking during the weekend).
