The Science Centre in Delft bridges the gap between the complex work of students and scientists at the University of Technology and future scientists: children. It boasts a range of machines and devices that allow children to experiment to their heart’s content. Step into a flight simulator, play with robots and re-enact dike breaches. At the Science Centre, you will be able turn difficult science into amazing science.   

Racing, building and gaming

Visitors can test and try out all kinds of test configurations based on research conducted at Delft University of Technology. They can design their own aircraft wing, for instance, or play a serious game (such as preventing a dike breach) at the game lab. Delft students developed a Nuna racing game especially for the Science Centre Delft. The surgery simulator allows visitors to explore how surgeons prepare for work.

The Science Centre Delft also has a number of work stations where university students are actually working. Take a look over their shoulders and discover how science is put into practice.

The Science Centre Delft is part of Delft University of Technology and is located in the landmark building of the old Department of Mining that was built in 1911. The Science Centre Delft shows what role technology and science play in society. The Science Centre is open every day from 11:00 to 17:00 except Mondays. Admission is free for children up to age 8.
