Eindhoven’s wide diversity of modern art & architecture go hand-in-hand with monumental buildings. Eindhoven is most famous for its association with Philips, Holland’s first multinational. After World War II the city was almost entirely rebuilt and developed itself into a modern town and centre of fashion, design and technology.

 
Van AbbeMuseum

The Van AbbeMuseum is one of Europe’s leading museums of modern art. Its collection includes amongst others, works by Picasso, Chagall, Kandinsky and Mondriaan. The building, which was renovated in 2003, is worth visiting for the architecture alone.

 
Light Bulb Factory

See how light bulbs where made in the 19th century. The light bulb factory is where the Philips brothers first produced their now world-famous light bulbs. The KLIK exhibition shows the work of internationally renowned artists that are being inspired by artificial light.

 
De Witte Dame

The 'Witte Dame' (White Lady) across the street from the Light Bulb Factory, was formerly used for the production of Philips radio tubes. It’s now the centre for design, technology & design and houses the Design Academy, Philips Design and Eindhoven’s Public Library.

 
 
DAF Museum

The DAF Museum houses over 120 historic vehicles and automobiles, varying from a one seater ‘riding raincoat’ to the Royal Beach Car, which has to be seen to be believed. Technology and the romance of times gone by go hand in hand here!

 
The Kempenland Museum

The Kempenland Museum, which is situated in an old church, traces the cultural history of the city of Eindhoven through photography, regional paintings and fine sculptures.
