The northern part of Holland is bordered by the Waddenzee and the east aligns with the German border. This region is sparsely populated and if you like some peace and quiet and love nature, this is the place for you!

Gelderland and Overijssel make up this part of Holland. You will experience a wide variety of landscapes and an abundance of nature. In this part lies Holland's largest national park, De Hoge Veluwe.’

In the center of Holland you will find two very different provinces, Utrecht and Flevoland. Utrecht has forests, castles, meadows and ancient towns. Flevoland on the other hand is Holland’s youngest province and consists mainly of farmland. It is hard to believe that this was part of the IJsselmeer lake at one time and that the Dutch reclaimed this new land.

The southern region of Holland aligns with the borders of Germany, to the east, Belgium to the south and the North Sea to the west. Driving through the provinces of the south is particularly scenic, changing from sea views to farmland, heath and woods to hilly, rather rolling landscapes and forests.

Zuid-Holland and Noord-Holland are the most densely populated provinces of Holland, where each town and city tells its own story of the past. Here you will find an exceptional range of museums, special events, shopping and entertainment facilities.
