Madurodam: Holland at its smallest

'Madurodam is undergoing a metamorphosis since November 1, 2011. The park is celebrating its 60th anniversary next year and grabs this milestone to renovate the park. Due to these renovations Madurodam will be closed from November 2011 until 31 march, 2012.'

Madurodam is a park that resembles Holland in miniature size. Buildings, markets, canals, windmills, Schiphol Airport, the Port of Rotterdam, Dam Square, the Delta works and much more is perfectly replicated to the smallest detail.

Madurodam Brings Holland to Life

Madurodam is not a static park with miniature structures. On the contrary! Windmills turn, airplanes land at the airport, boats float in the Port of Rotterdam and in the canals of Amsterdam, parades take place, there’s music on the streets and much more to discover. Every year, Madurodam selects a theme, which is brought to life with an exhibition that focuses on educating and entertaining children.
