Rotterdam had to start from scratch after the heart of the city was destroyed during WW II. A modern and new Rotterdam rose from the ashes.

Visit Rotterdam and you’ll understand why Rotterdam is also known as Manhattan at the Meuse. Skyscrapers mark the new business areas, whilst a few historical buildings and mostly modern architecture characterize the center.

You can imagine that a city which is build around the Meuse river and has one of the largest ports in the world, must have a good infrastructure. The bridges of Rotterdam have always been a city symbol.
